DVD Audio - DVD-A
Introduced in 2000 to compete with the SACD releases, DVD Audio (or DVD-A for short) produces high fidelity sound on a dvd substrate. Due to the larger capacity of a DVD as compared to a CD, much higher sampling rates and depth of sound can be encoded on a DVD Audio release. Many of your all time favorite albums have been released in DVD Audio format and offer the listener a great music experience.
